| The first of the Blackbird eggs started
hatching at dawn of the 28th May |
| The next chick hatches quite soon after |
| The female bird consumes the eggshells
just like the blue and great tits, to replace the calcium she used
making them |
| The two chicks next to the remaining two
eggs |
| The first chick lifting its head up for
food dad sits over the nest keeping guard |
Mum returns with some food |
| The dad does the same, there is only
one egg to go now |
| The evening of the 28th May and three chicks
have hatched |
| The following day and all eggs have hatched,
the chicks look strong and healthy |
| The first three chicks are quite
demanding now |
| Finally the forth chick comes into view |
| The four chicks as of today 31st May |

| Honey and her seven eggs seem very
comfortable. This is amazing, as our neighbour had a new boiler
fitted last week, and this bird box is only about a meter, from the
installation. The boiler installer had been knocking bricks out of
the same wall her box is on, and using hammer a drill, none of this
made her leave her eggs |
| This is a funny situation, it made us laugh.
Honey was sitting on her eggs as usual, when suddenly a small snail
dropped down in front of her, from the roof we guess |
| Honey's first thought was, its an egg... and
put it underneath her, with the other eggs, We guess it continued to
move, and she realised it wasn't an egg |
| The offending creature, was then removed
from the nest |
| This is her caring it out and away, what a
cheeky snail |
| One it was gone the situation returns to
normal |
