We intend to make an Aviary soon so that
we can continue to feed the chicks well past their normal fledging
time.
The Aviary will enable us to gradually acclimatise the birds to the
environment and once they can feed themselves, introduce them to new
foods, before their final release
The yellow coloured gape part of their mouth
is very soft, and they cant really peck anything, just as well I
suppose
The pink body parts are gradually
disappearing under a carpet of feathers
They are either sleeping or eating
The growing wing feathers are still in pin
as its called, but that doesn’t stop them trying to preen
Here we go again, where's the mealworm’s?
Are they cute or what?
