All the Great Tit eggs have now hatched
and Bright Eyes is the proud mother of six chirpy chicks.
We like many of you suffered a Microsoft
update in the night and this morning the bird box 1 overhead camera
was offline, i eventually fixed it but in doing so i unintentionally
disconnected bird box 2
Bird box 2 having been disconnected caused
the auto iris in the overhead camera to make a noise, this
frightened the female blue tit and she shot out of the box like a
rocket
Once everything was sorted, it was found that
she in her haste to leave had jumped on the wall of fluff she had
built in front of the side camera, giving us a good view of the nest
cup. During this period the male Blue Tit who was unaware of what
had happened continued to feed the chicks as normal
It took the
female a while to continue her mothering, but within half an hour
normality returned
I hope she does not re-build the wall as I am
enjoying the view

seen over the rim of the nest cup

The Blackbird has been brooding for two
days now
It seems she has settled for a clutch of
five eggs

don't know if he fed her or not
