This video taken the afternoon of 28 May,
all the chicks are starting to look like miniatures of their parents.
Another mealworm gets lovingly delivered
by Omega
This video taken at lights on, just after dawn
29 May, the chicks can see really well now and take a lot of
interest in their surroundings and each other.
Both parents look well worn out
Here is Aella just giving out food from the
entrance
Not sure what's on offer here, something
long and black
Mid afternoon and all the chicks look tired and
sleepy
A more peaceful scene
A bit of wing flapping going on here, some
are starting to show an interest in the outside world now
Just before lights out, and they are all
well fed
My Sparrow Hawk Picture was featured on the
"The One Show" BBC 1 on Friday, some of you may have seen it.
The morning of the 31 May
This video at lights on May31 dad shouts a
warning and all the chicks lower themselves in the nest. Then later
that morning
The chicks move around the nest a lot more
now
This chick seems all alone, ahhhh
Later the same day and for the first time I
see a chick do a wing beg, flapping its wings to get food
Things pick up for it when the food comes in
though
See those eyes, there is brain power behind
there now, not just reaction
