Dads not the best with mealworms, Mum cant stand watching in the end and takes over

Its still very hard to tell just how many chicks are in the nest. We have counted at least nine

Both parents have been great

With the help of our constant supply of Mealworms the chicks have grown fast

The early morning and all the chicks are asleep

They soon wake up at the slightest noise

Mum tries to catch an extra bit of sleep

Breakfast is served

They are starting to break out of the nest cup now, only a few days to fledging, lets hope the little ones catch soon

Dippy Dad seems to have got he's act together

This is their clutch of ten eggs

Dippy feeds Broken Feather, while she sits on the eggs

So far so good, a few more days and this will be a hive of activity

The nest cup is so low it takes all her strength and the use of her wings to lift herself out of the nest

The bushes were very late in leaf this year, so our Robin built a nest elsewhere

But it keeps a carful eye on this box, perhaps a second brood later in the year

The Honeysuckle box suffered the same fate, the snow we had  this year has set the Honeysuckle plant back, with very little plumage to hide the box

This doesn't seem to put the Great and Blue Tits off though, who visit on a regular basis
