I managed to get a picture of the new man
in Bright Eyes life, they spend most of the day together but I have
never seen him inspect the box
This is a good shot of Bright Eyes
This is a video of Bright Eyes doing some
more nest wiggles and playing with a bit of moss
The last few days we have had some workmen
installing a new boiler, it was meant to be done last September, but
had to wait until now. Bright Eyes is much more sensitive to noise
than the blue tits are and so a couple of nights she did not roost
She often pops in during the day for a
little piece and quiet
This was her first night back in the box after
the workmen had left
On the second of March she had just come
in to roost for the night, when we had some terrible weather, it was
like the beginning of a small tornado, a few of which we had in the
area of late. There was a noise like that of a train, thunder,
lightning and a torrential downpour of hail. the noise of this hail
made her leave the box for the night.
This is a video of that
Meanwhile the blue tits although they
really want box 1 have been inspecting box 2
This time there is one in the box and one
on the outside, with a very keen interest in what is going on
This inquisitive little devil is having a
look into one of the lenses
At this point I was expecting the normal
change over
The bird in the box starts to crouch but
the other bird did not come in
You can view a video of this with this
clip
The blue tit is back again today
They do not seem worried by the glass
wall, I just whish the weather was better, with so much rain, we are
just not getting the interest we would like.
