Finally he gets his chance
The great tits still keep an eye on the
box and what is happening, but as yet have not tried to enter
Another chunk of nesting gets removed by
Omega
Omega turns up again and enters the box
Then this bird comes to the entrance and
its Aella
The bird looses its grip on the door and
we get the first good look at the new intruder
Omega is having a good conversation with
the new bird
The tit fly's off, but comes back almost
immediately
This is Omega on the inside calling to the
new bird
Finally the new bird enters the box, and
it is obviously a female, as Omega leaves straight away. The new
female looks small and very nervous, and has a distinctive marking
around its left eye.
