January (Page 2) 2010
| We don't see as many Thrushes as we used
to, this is only the second we have seen this year |
| A Robin has been taking an interest in all
the open fronted boxes, so we are hoping these will get used this
year |
The Bluies are always curious |
| This great tit, the male we think, having
g a good look also |
| Another of the Bluies checking out the
renewed Robin box |
| The male great tit has roosted in box one up
to now and makes a mess as you can see |
| He finds himself under attack from a female |
| not an unusual site at this time of year
unfortunately, sounds even worse than it looks |
| All legs and beaks and squeaks |
| Doesn't end badly as a rule though |
| This male is not fairing well in this
debacle |
| She has him on the ropes so to speak |
| This is him pined against the corner, she is
making good use of her wings as stabilisers |
| Meanwhile the Bluies seem to have put all
their disputes behind them and this female called "broken
feather" for the moment at least, is staking her claim |
| They can spend as much time taking things
out as putting them in, so we wont get too excited just yet |
| She is a trim looking bird apart from that
lose feather |
| The Male, having just had a bath by the
looks of him pops in for a look, while she is way |
| Still no Hedgehogs!! the council have done a
great job of clearing away all the hedges, resulting in barren
transport tunnels for hedgehogs. THANKS GUYS!!!
The mice have found it useful though |
