An experiment this year, 2 new bird boxes, with low level colour camera's with modified lenses, plus a pro cam giving good quality close ups.

A Tit is roosting in each box at night

There has been a great deal of interest from a female great tit who is often roosting in box 1.

The blue tits have shown interest but with so much bad weather and the great tit around nothing concrete yet.

Things are starting to happen this month with both boxes showing signs of use.

This picture is of box 2, in which I am hoping the blue tits will nest, it is however within sight of the box 1, so I don't know how the great tits will react

Both nest boxes are now in use. The beginning of the month has been marred by incessant fighting from 2 great tits.

I finally reduced the size of the entrance for box 2 and a pair of blue tits have taken up residence

What a month this is turning into. we have Great tits in box 1 with 5 chicks and 1 egg to go. Blue Tits with 6 chicks and 4 eggs to go. A blackbird with 5 eggs, and several visits from hedgehogs but not as yet nesting, fingers crossed though

This month we have a roosting blue tit in box 2, also a Hedgehog family of 4 is using the hedgehog box.

Check the live cams especially at night when the Hoggie's are out, great fun

With the worst weather we have had for some time, we have a roosting blue tit in box 2, box 1 has been removed to be rebuilt.

Hedgehogs are still using the Hog box during the day, with up to 4 hogs at times

Bird box 1 has now been refurbished and replaced. we have a roosting tit in box 2, a family of hogs are using the hog box.

new equipment has enabled us to stream more cameras at faster rates, fingers crossed that all goes well for next year
