It has now been six weeks since Aella brought the first piece of nesting material into this box
I Believe that Aella is from the minimalist school of bird nest design
As you can see she particularly likes a vivid strip going down one wall
She has spent more time with creating this masterpiece than making a nest
As ever Omega is being the dutiful provider keeping Aella well supplied with goodies
I don't think I have ever seen a slower nest build than this one
She appears to get quite frustrated with pushing it around, only to get tangled and then out it goes
Some mornings look promising, only to have our hopes dashed at the last minute
One moment the nest is started with dry grass the next its moss
Out it all goes again and yet she still visits box 2 and try's to clean it out even though Omega has not roosted there for several days
It has been noticed by others that this box is now not in use
We have had several visits from this sparrow
This is the state of nest building as of this morning, don't get too excited though it will probably have gone by the time a publish this
