April (Page 1) 2008 |
| Its April, spring is here, Omega is
working hard, constantly feeding Aella with food, but can we say the
same about her. |
| I don't know if she is worried about the
great tits or if she is so young and inexperienced that she is not
sure what to do |
She works hard chipping the veneer off of the
right hand wall of the box, but as for nest building, she levees a
lot be desired |
| She puts loads in, but takes equal amounts
back out, I don't think I have ever seen one this bad, hopefully we
will get there in the end. |
| 6th April just before 8 am, slight rain and
birds have been bathing and drinking |
| 8.30 am and the water is frozen, there are
icicles hanging from the sides of the bird bath, and the garden has
about an inch of snow on it |
Its so cold both birds retreat to their
respective boxes to sleep it out and try and keep warm |
| 10.39 am the snow is gone and the water is
just unfreezing |
| 12.46 pm normal bathing resumes, what
strange weather |
I put this is in because I thought it was a
great shot |
| I thought this was good as well, how do
they manage to clear the bars |
| Aella is nest clearing again, and the
outside box cam has packed up so I will have to use the pan and tilt
from now on |
| She doesn't like this uncontrollable
piece, it will just have to go |
| Meanwhile Omega keeps bringing in supplies
for the hard worker, but where has she gone? |
| Long-Tailed Tits, I just love how the
look, I would love a pair of those to nest here, but they rarely
nest in boxes. |
