| Beau, Bright Eyes man, comes to the
entrance with an offering, this is the first time other than outside
the box I have seen him take any part in the proceedings. |

This is yet another fight about to be instigated
by Spot looking to take over. Although she has checked out Box 2
it is obviously still not good enough, and she has set her eyes on
this one |

Bright Eyes peeps out, as if to say, don't show
you're face here again! |

| She is now very sheepish about entering,
and leaving herself exposed to another attack form Spot. That night
she did not roost |

| The following morning Bright Eyes nips in
to check if there has been any interlopers, but all is well |

| Ever cautious from this point on she keeps
a weather eye out for any interference from Spot |

| I felt at this point I had enough of great
tit rang ling so I decided to reduce the entrance hole to box 2, so
as to only allow blue tits in. Both species have looked in the box,
and as there are two other great tit nest in the vicinity, I thought
the blue tits should get a look in.
The first reducer was made from alloy, but they didn't take to that,
so I made another from hardwood, a little tricky as it is only 1.5mm
thick |

| Although a tight fit, they seem to manage
to get in and out ok. |
